People already have files on S3, a lot of interest in having this kind of thing, some work
Caveats
if not in control of location where the files are, links are made and then the file is moved, the link becomes broken
This is why they're reluctant to have this
Checksum checks are done
We might want something more like Invenio Framework but not sure
