DESCRIPTION:Welcome to UKAEA Public Open Day!\n \nWe'd like to invite the
  public to UKAEA's Open Day! \nOur Open Day offers you a unique opportuni
 ty to see in-person some of the amazing work we are doing to develop susta
 inable fusion energy. You will receive an introductory talk covering the b
 asics of fusion energy\, followed by tours of the world’s largest fusion
  experiment\; the world record breaking Joint European Torus (JET) and our
  Remote Applications in Challenging Environments (RACE). These tours will 
 be led by engineers\, scientists and technicians\, who are currently worki
 ng on the experiments – so you are guaranteed a genuine insight into wha
 t it’s like to work in fusion and have the opportunity to directly ask o
 ur passionate researchers anything about our work here at UKAEA.\nBring yo
 ur questions and curiosity as you discover just how on Earth we are creati
 ng star-power and see two of the leading facilities responsible for this g
 round-breaking research\, pushing us closer to delivering fusion energy fo
 r all!\nPlease note anyone attending this event is require to wear closed 
 toe shoes and a hard hats (a hard hat will be provided on the day).\nThis 
 Open Day is intended for the general public. If you work at UKAEA\, please
  sign up for the Friends and Family Open Evening instead\, which will be a

 ting the registration form. We encourage you to be logged into Indico (the
  web-based event management system hosting this site) to register.\nTo reg
 ister\, select the ‘Registration’ tab in the menu on the left-hand si
 de of the page. \n\nWho can attend\nYou are welcome to attend with friend
 s and family\, but please note there is a maximum of 10 tickets per group.
  There is a minimum age limit of 12 years old. Anyone under the age of 18
  must be accompanied by a responsible adult.\nDue to high demand and limit
 ed availability\, only register if you are confident you can attend. This 
 helps us manage resources and ensure places are used effectively.\n\nTicke
 t and key dates\nThis event will be held in a in-person format. \nWhen re
 gistering\, you will be asked to select either the morning (11am-1pm) or t
 he afternoon session (2-5pm).\nPlaces are limited due to room capacity. Re
 gistration may close earlier than the advertised deadline if capacity is r
