This session, informally titled "How to say no at work in a useful way" will present a variety of tools and techniques to help you to manage your workload, prioritise tasks and manage your relationships with superiors, all while maintaining your wellbeing. The key to it all is learning how to say no in a way that helps deliver long-term strategic aims, rather than as a block to progress.

 

About the speaker:

This session is delivered by Dr Steve Cross, a freelance consultant who helps experts of all kinds to become the most engaging and effective versions of themselves, and former Head of Public Engagement at University College London and Wellcome Trust Engagement Fellow. Steve teaches communication skills and networking for clients including the Royal Society, elite universities, research funders and government agencies.
