Intermediate Research Software Development (10477)

  • This course is aimed at teaching a core set of established best practice software development skills for working as part of a team in a research environment, using Python as an example programming language. The core set of skills we teach is not a comprehensive set of all-encompassing skills, but a selective set of tried-and-tested collaborative development skills that forms a firm foundation for continuing on your learning journey.
  • Full course content: https://ukaea-rse-training.github.io/python-intermediate-development/
  • Please look at the prerequisite quiz for this course to see if it is an appropriate level for you: https://carpentries-incubator.github.io/python-intermediate-development/quiz/index.html If you still have questions about whether a course will be suitable for you or someone you manage, please get in touch with me directly.
  • Please note: this course is delivered over 6 parts, and you must sign up for every part in Unit4 to fully register. If you are unable to make one of the sessions, it should still be possible to participate in the course, but please contact Matthew Bluteau to make appropriate arrangements.
  • Further details about the course can be found here: https://intranet.ukaea.uk/software/skills/.
