Welcome to the Fusion Engineering Academy 2026
UKAEA is launching the Fusion Engineering Academy, a two-week training course aimed at engineers and scientists. It will cover a range of subjects combining lectures, tutor session and relevant hands-on experience at the facilities on UKAEA’s Culham Campus.
The Fusion Engineering Academy 2026 offers a unique opportunity for individuals to gain hands-on training in the rapidly growing fusion energy sector. Through the Fusion Engineering Academy, trainees get direct experience with equipment available at Culham, thereby enriching their experience and understanding of fusion engineering.
The Academy will have these features:
- Aimed at anyone wanting to expand their STEM knowledge into the world of fusion (A STEM degree is a prerequisite.)
- Hands-on activities
- Lectures will be supported by written assignments and study sessions
The Academy is divided into two four day sessions, both parts of the Academy will take place at Culham Campus, Abingdon, OX14 3DB.
Price: £1,600 + VAT for the whole course (8 days). This includes all lunches and one evening meal.

Week 2: 2 - 5 March 2026
The event gets filled very quickly and there are only 24 spaces for this training.
