Indico Project Session  

You’re invited to register for an Indico training session, as you’ve been identified as an user of the platform. The session will last 1 hour and 15 minutes, and you’ll be able to choose from three available dates:

  • 16 October (in-person)
  • 22 October (online)
  • 27 October (online)

You can select the date and format that best suits you. Each session requires a minimum of three participants to go ahead. If this minimum isn’t met, we’ll get in touch to rearrange.

 


Why this training matters

UKAEA began using Indico in November 2024 to manage registrations for events, training, and some meetings. Since then, usage has grown rapidly (this one is already the 455th activity created on the platform).

However, we’ve noticed a lack of consistency in how Indico is being used across teams. Pages are being built in different ways, and not always in line with best practice or internal policies.

To address this, we launched a project to improve consistency and compliance across all UKAEA Indico activities. We’ve worked closely with key stakeholders, including Finance, Risk Assurance (Data Protection & GDPR), Business Resilience, the External Website Manager, Events, and Computing, to ensure the guidance reflects UKAEA’s standards and makes your work easier and more efficient.

 


What you’ll get from the session

  • An introduction to the “Indico: Best Practices and Helpful Guide for UKAEA” (which can now be found on Events - Nucleus, at the bottom of this page)
  • A walkthrough of how to create a registration page that is simple, consistent and compliant
  • Access to new templates and a restructured folder system to support future activities
