Welcome to UKAEA's Photographing Big Science event!

 

We'd like to invite the public to UKAEA's Photographing Big Science event!

This event will be an opportunity for you to meet our photography team, take your own close up pictures of our facility and learn about the important role photography can play in bringing fusion energy to life. Whether you’re an amateur photographer or just curious, this is your chance to see—and shoot—fusion from a whole new angle.

Please note anyone attending this event is require to wear closed toe shoes and a hard hats (a hard hat will be provided on the day).

Registration

You must register by completing the registration form. We encourage you to be logged into Indico (the web-based event management system hosting this site) to register.

To register, select the ‘Registration’ tab in the menu on the left-hand side of the page.


Who can attend

There is a minimum age limit of 12 years old. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Due to high demand and limited availability, please only register if you are confident you can attend. 


Ticket and key dates

This event will be held in a in-person format.

Places are limited due to capacity. Registration may close earlier than the advertised deadline if capacity is reached.

IMPORTANT: Please make sure you have a confirmed ticket before attending the event. Access to the Culham site is subject to UKAEA security protocols, and we reserve the right to deny entry where necessary. All visitors must present a valid photo ID upon arrival in order to receive a visitor pass. Without photo ID, access to the Culham site will not be granted.
