We are delighted to welcome schools to UKAEA for an inspiring half-day visit designed to give students a unique insight into the future of fusion energy.

During the visit, students will receive an introductory talk covering the basics of fusion energy. They will then take part in guided tours of our world-leading facilities, Joint European Torus (JET). The tour will be led by our engineers, scientists and technicians, offering students a genuine, behind-the-scenes look at cutting-edge research and technology.

Students are encouraged to bring their curiosity as they explore how we are developing  fusion energy and discover the exciting careers that contribute to this ground-breaking work.

We have 2 time slots that you can book:

  • 10:00-12:00
  • 13:00-15:00

Please note we can accommodate a maximum of 40 students per visit. Also, anyone attending this event is require to wear closed toe shoes and a hard hat (a hard hat will be provided on the day).

Also, you are only allowed to book one slot per school.
